"Make new friends,
But keep the old,
One is silver,
and the other gold."
An old girl scout song describes perfectly what I didn't do. When I made new friends, I'd often move on from old. When I went to college, I left behind almost all my high school friends and didn't keep connections. Now, I'm working at rebuilding some of those relationships.
In the last year, I've been fortunate to reconnect with old friends from my school days. While "home", I had the chance to spend some great time with two very dear friends I used to have. I'm blessed that we've been able to let go of our high school issues and become friends as grown women and mothers.
I forgot to get a picture of the three of us, but I did get a picture of our kids (1 from one friend, 2 from me and 3...soon to be 4 from another).
Michelle & Sara, I'm so glad to have both of you back in my life. I look forward to many years of kids playdates and girls nights out!

nice! the kids don't really look too thrilled to be having their picture taken though! I had a great time seeing you again and I just hope that we can do it again the next time you're in town!
That's awesome Elissa! You know, true friends are always there, no matter what. And sometimes the seperations are needed to make us appreciate what we have. I hope you three have a lot of fun times ahead.
