conditioned response

Last night while driving to tball, Payton was reading to me about insects from the backseat. Maxwell was listening along quietly (which never happens) when suddenly he just blurts out "I DIDN'T DO IT!!!"

I'm still not sure what it is he "didn't do", but I'm pretty sure when I figure it out...he did it.

Ha ha, funny wee Maxwell! I believe him - if he said he didn't do it, then he didn't do it!

So you're saying there was quiet followed by an "I didn't do it!" Interesting. Usually the things they "didn't do" quietly are easily spotted. I'm with Jen, have you checked your markers???
