Darn You, Ice Cream Man!!

We currently have a turf war going on in our neighborhood. We have three different ice cream men that drive down our street several times a day. There is one that come when school lets out...between 3:30-4:30pm. Then between 8-9pm we have two, sometimes, three, that come down our street. As I write this, I can hear two different ice cream truck songs playing. It's like being stuck at a kiddie carnival!!

I don't mind visiting the ice cream man once in awhile, but dang, three times a day!? Seriously? It's hard enough telling my kids "not tonight" without having to tell them "not tonight" several times every night. That said, we do have our favorite, "Uncle Ron". He by far has the best prices with the best selection and he's always nice to the kids.

I think it's going to be a very l o n g summer!

I seem to remember trying to keep everyone from running down the street when the ice cream man came by.

Sounds like you are getting paybacks three fold.

Hee Hee Hee, I love it!!

Sounds like Ice Cream Man overkill!

We have one that comes every once in awhile, but it's usually right around dinner time.

Good Luck this summer ;)

Does Ron insist on the title "Uncle" or is this a nickname granted to him? Just asking because someone once told me that ours was busted for selling acid from his truck years ago...do you wish you lived in our neighborhood???hahaha

Not to be a drag but I don't think I would want my kid calling the ice cream man by Uncle, kind of creepy if you ask me.

PS. That last comment was from me Mom K. forgot to sign.

I promise you that we don't call him "Uncle Ron"...that's what the side of his truck says.

Oh man! You have an over-abundance of ice cream men and we have pesky neighborhood kids who want to constantly be at our house. While I love Summer, I dread it in some ways too. I'm so ready to move out to the country.
